Kid pictures

To get more photography practice, I took the kids out a few weeks ago to snap some pictures. It was only 9am but already too sunny. Here are some of the better ones.

Trunk or Treat

Lots to catch up on, but for now, here are some pictures from the church Trunk or Treat last night.

Magician and indian.
Dan and I never really go all-out for Halloween so we decided to step it up this year. Frankenstein and his bride.
Frankenstein had to make a last-minute stop at the redbox.
And here's the sideview of my hair. There's a styrofoam cone in there.
It was a pain to wash out. I still have a black scalp in some places.

Happy Halloween!

Austin

Sorry for the lull. I've been both lazy and busy for the past few weeks.

At the end of September we headed over to Austin to visit Dan's brother's family and attend Carmen's baptism. Dan's parents also came into town for the big occasion.

Friday I dubbed "Dan Day" because we all did things that Dan wanted to do. After seeing my brother's post about the fun things they did in Austin, Dan wanted to do the same. So first up was a trip to Hamilton Pool. It was a beautiful morning and it wasn't too crowded, thanks to school. The water was freezing! Dan was the only one of us daring enough to brave the icy temps. I got in up to my knees and the kids enjoyed playing with the rocks.

We forgot Sam's bathing suit so he swam in his skivies.

After Hamilton Pool we headed to the Salt Lick. A barbecue joint. I'm not that big on Texas barbecue, but it was good and really filling. REALLY filling.

We went back to Adam's that night and watched a lot of The Voice.

Saturday was Carmen's baptism. She was beautiful and it was a really nice service. I think 9 kids got baptized that day.
We came home to a delicious lunch and spent time playing games and relaxing. We came home the next day. It was a great trip!
