I realized that I hadn't uploaded pictures from my phone in a LONG time, so I did that today and I'll use those to paint a picture of the other things we've been doing this summer.
Here are a few more pictures from our Yellowstone trip that didn't make it into the other posts. We asked each of the kids to pack their own backpack with things they'd like to bring on the trip. Before we left, we checked Afton's backpack and this is what we found:
A sock, baby toys, an Easter egg, a Christmas ornament, wooden butter, plastic grapes, a tea pot, fake candy, etc. Needless to say, we changed that up before we left.
Torrential downpours on the way to the airport. Glad we left as early as we did. Took 90 minutes longer than it should have.

The kids and I spent a few days over at my parents house in mid-July. We went to a splash pad and a park, went out to lunch, and spent good time at my parents' house just hanging out.

We've been going to the library at least once a week.
Eli's hair was getting out of control, so we decided to cut it. But before we did, I had to have some fun with it.

We took a trip up to the temple.
While there, I overheard a sister missionary telling someone she was from Driggs, Idaho. Turns out that she knows my Uncle and Aunt, was in young womens with my cousin as her teacher, and is related to me through my uncle. Crazy.
Oh, man. We hate the traffic on the way to the temple. We caught a lucky break and we hopped on to the HOV lane just a few minutes before it was going to close and start having traffic go the other way. Check out the regular lanes!

Dan taught Sam how to play chess. And checkers. Now they play all the time.
I met up with Katrina and her kids while she was in town visiting her family. It was so fun to see her and catch up, if only for a few hours. Our kids get along really well together. The kids swam, played Foosball, played outside, and the girls played dress up.

Our kids started swimming lessons at Aqua Tots. They go three times a week and this is how Afton felt about that the first two times.
She would cry and get so anxious. It would make her stomach hurt and she would tell her teacher that she didn't want to do things that she was asked to do. Now she loves it! She jumps in and holds her breath under for a few seconds, etc. Both of the kids are doing really well and learning a lot. More posts to come!
