Sorry for the lull. I've been both lazy and busy for the past few weeks.
At the end of September we headed over to Austin to visit Dan's brother's family and attend Carmen's baptism. Dan's parents also came into town for the big occasion.
Friday I dubbed "Dan Day" because we all did things that Dan wanted to do. After seeing my brother's post about the fun things they did in Austin, Dan wanted to do the same. So first up was a trip to Hamilton Pool. It was a beautiful morning and it wasn't too crowded, thanks to school. The water was freezing! Dan was the only one of us daring enough to brave the icy temps. I got in up to my knees and the kids enjoyed playing with the rocks.
We forgot Sam's bathing suit so he swam in his skivies.
After Hamilton Pool we headed to the Salt Lick. A barbecue joint. I'm not that big on Texas barbecue, but it was good and really filling. REALLY filling.
We went back to Adam's that night and watched a lot of The Voice.
Saturday was Carmen's baptism. She was beautiful and it was a really nice service. I think 9 kids got baptized that day.
We came home to a delicious lunch and spent time playing games and relaxing. We came home the next day. It was a great trip!

Did you go to the Salt lick out in Nowhere'sville? The HUGE one? Does "It was filling" mean good? Your Hamilton pool experience does look cold but cool perspectives.
I re-read and noticed you said it was good. So um... nevermind. Did Dan Enjoy his "live like a Ryan" day? Sometimes it's good to be me.
That sounds like a fun and adventerous trip. It's always great to be with family.
