My latest carseat cover. I like it. The inside is the same fabric as the brown on the straps.
When I put mousse in my hair in the mornings (ugh. My hair routine is very boring, thanks to Houston humidity.), Sam likes to put mousse in his hair, too. I hope I do a better job with my hair than he does with his.
Dan and I have been feeling like we need to get food storage. We've never really had a good store set aside before. So I've been trying to collect just a few extra cans when I go to the store, but I wasn't very organized about it and it would have taken me forever. So we bit the bullet and ordered a year's supply of food storage for a family of 4 from Costco.
They were supposed to deliver between noon and two yesterday, but he called at 5 saying that he didn't know how to get to our house. So I asked where he was, and he told me the name of a street that sounds fairly similar to ours. I knew where he was, so I tried talking him through how to get from there to our place. And he just kept saying, "It's not telling me that. That's not how it says to get there." I don't know what "it" is. I'm guessing his GPS. Anyway, he was very confused and finally asked me to get in my car, drive over to where he was, and lead him to our house. Which I did. No biggie. Then when he got here and got the giant pallet of boxes off the truck, he couldn't get it over the curb up the driveway. So I told him to just leave it in the street. Thankfully, a nice neighbor came out and offered to help me carry the boxes inside (all 56 of them!). We were super sweaty afterwards. I'm making her cupcakes today. It was worth it to get her help!
So now we've got 300 some odd cans of food to put in our house. Under beds, in closets, etc. Should be fun.

That first picture of Afton is hilarious. I really like the fabric on that carseat cover. And wow, that is a TON of food storage.

Wow. Way to be on top of the food storage thing! We have a three-month supply that we got as a gift from Ryan's parents and we love having at least some sort of security. Love your car seat cover, too!
OH my gosh. I can't believe you carried in each of those boxes! Good for you for getting your food storage taken care of! I hope there aren't any reasons to cause me to need food storage until we are more settled...and not living in a foreign country.
What a cutie pie. She has beautiful eyes and a cute smile. Going to the gym has paid off--you have the muscles to carry all of those boxes.
Well, whad'ya know, I used the exact same fabric to make an infant carrier cover for one of my friends. You have great taste ;) And seriously, the amount of food storage is crazy... you better start eating canned food for dinner at least once a week.
Don't you just feel so great now?! Food storage is something that totally stresses me out! I'm doing it the slow way and I feel like I am never going to get there. The past couple of weeks it has really been weighing on me which makes me even more nervous. If something ever happens, can we just come and live with you? :-)
